The Nowruz Festival is one that aims to celebrate the coming of spring as well as unite the people of the world!Nowruz has been observed for more than 3,000 years and has been mostly celebrated on the day of the spring equinox, which is the term used to explain the day when sun shines directly to the equator and the length of day and night is nearly equal all over the world.  Before Nowruz gained universal recognition, its geography was vast yet mostly limited to Central Asia and the Middle East. Nowruz is now a deeply rooted traditional celebration amongst the entire Turkic world. In addition to celebrating the coming of spring, there are also thousands of deep, underlying meanings hidden under this celebration. Nowruz is all about positivity. It symbolizes the beginning of new life after the dormant period of winter.

Within the new beginnings is the encouragement of productivity, harmony between people and nature, friendship and peace among people, and happiness and joy. Also, Nowruz possesses a rare characteristic that is very important in our globalized world. It is a celebration that invites and welcomes everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, language, and religion. This provides Nowruz with a transnational feature, which connects different people and unites them under the common aspiration for new starts and fresh beginnings. Admission and parking for the festival will be free. We hope you can come out and celebrate the coming of the spring season with us!
