Raindrop Turkish House El Paso Cuisine Class Alumni Cooked for the Homeless Fellows !

photo-11Raindrop Turkish House El Paso Ladies donate the food to Reynolds that they cook in Raindrop El Paso cooking class at the end of the every month. On April 2, the ladies cooked and donated the food to Reynolds as usual. The ladies delivered the food  themselves to Reynolds and spent their time with the residents of Reynolds. Both host and guests had enjoyed their time by creating a friendly atmosphere. Ladies also donated the clothing to Reynold that they had gathered during the March.4/9/2012

Raul Segura,Internal Affairs Director from Sheriff’s Office talked to Turkish Community

DSC00523Mr. Raul Segura, Internal Affairs Director serving for  35 years at Sheriff’s Office visited Raindrop Turkish House El Paso. He was the guest speaker of the Spring Dinners at Raindrop El Paso. Mr. Segura gave a very useful and important speech to the community. He talked about the safety and security tips, emergency cases; crime statistics of El Paso. He added that El Paso is the safest city of the nation for the last two years. Following his valuable talk the participants submitted him many questions .(4/5/2012)

Book drive For Child Crisis Center of El Paso

book_drv_alternative-2Reading is joyful. Let's  donate Children’s Books  (0-12 ages) to share the joy of reading with the kids at the Child Crisis Center of El Paso.

· We shall accept multiple copies of the same book. 

· Publishers of children’s books are welcome to donate excess books they have in their inventory.

· Books should be in good condition, mint or brand new
(NOT worn out, with missing covers, nor with torn pages).

Ladies Coffee Night April

coffe_night_aprilRaindrop Women Association organizes monthly Coffee Night for Ladies. Yahara Lisa Gutierrez,65th Judicial Family Court Judge,  will be the keynote speaker. She will speak about laws which affect and protect children.

At the program Turkish food and coffee will be served.(4/4/2012)

Play-Date For the Kids, March 29

photoRaindrop Turkish House Ladies hosted another play-date for the kids. Before children starting to play, they enjoyed the breakfast with their moms. After the breakfast, while kids playing in the play room, Mrs. Simsek showed to the moms, how to make the traditional Turkish Baklava. They had casual conversations afterwards accompanied by delicious baklava that made cooperatively by moms. Mrs. Shannon said " I am definitely going to join to cooking classes" after tasting baklava. 3/29/2011
