Hurricane Sandy Victims Need Your Help Immediately
sandyhurricane1We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives and the damage because of the Hurricane Sandy at the US East Coast. Hurricane Sandy that is the largest Atlantic hurricane on record is a tropical cyclone that severely affected Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States on October 29, 2012.The cyclone brought a destructive storm surge to US East Coast , flooding numerous streets, tunnels and subway and cutting off, especially Zone A areas near waterways which were issued evacuation orders. Severe damage occurred in New Jersey, especially in the communities along the Jersey Shore. According to the records, hurricane-force winded as high as 90 miles per hour (145 kph).

El Paso Ramadan Celebration

We will be celebrating Eid-Ul- Fitr ( Ramazan Bayrami; end of the Ramadan month festival celebration )  at 9 am in Raindrop Turkish house Sunday, 19th 2012. Program begin with greeting each other, and than special Turkish style breakfast will be served.

Turkish Cuisine Class Alumni Cooked for Reynolds Home in El Paso

1The traditional monthly cooking for the Reynolds Home was done with pleasure by Turkish Cuisine Class Alumni and the instructors on May 26, on Saturday. Sponsored by the Raindrop Turkish House El Paso volunteers, around 30  fellows in need consist of kids and women were served on Saturday evening. The food delivered to Reynolds Home at 6:00 pm as a dinner enjoyed by the center staff, homeless fellows and the Raindrop volunteers. The music played made the night even nicer; as an outcome of interaction and appreciation of different cultures, Reynolds Home residences played Turkish Music for the Raindrop Cooking Class Team. Ladies Coffee Night May

hediyeRaindrop El Paso hosted the final Ladies' Coffee Night of the season on "Cinco De Mayo"(May 5)! Enriched with the two remarkable themes of the month of May, "Cinco De Mayo" and "Mother's Day" various informative and fun activities presented. Stacey Giraldez and Kristi Lai gave a speech about "Attachment Parenting and its benefits for the family" to the Raindrop Moms and later they all enjoyed the "pinata" and several entertaining traditional "Cinco De Mayo" games. The surprising slide show of the photos of the Raindrop Moms with their kids as a Mother's Day gift was so heart touching! The amazing night ended with the gifts given to the speakers.(5/15/2012)
