Praying for Rain in Horn of Africa

Raindrop Foundation has organized an Prayer for a rain in Horn Africa, especially for Somali,  besides collecting financial donations. Prayer was held on early morning with the community where adults as well as babies, kids were present. There prayers continued for three days consequtively at Turquoise Center. We thank everyone who joined the prayer for whom are not present. Hope these prayers will help Horn of Africa to get rain as soon as possible.

Raindrop Swimming Classes, Hurry to Register

Dallas_Turquoise_Center_Pool  Raindrop Turkish House organized a Summer Swimming Classes starting on June 11, 2011 and classes will be held for four weeks. This a lifetime experience for the ones who do not know how to swim because experienced coach will be teaching swimming classes for all. Raindrop Saturday School Students Enjoyed Go-Cart Racing

Raindrop_Foundation_Saturday_School_Go_Cart  Raindrop Foundation organizes Saturday School for Turkish Kids since 2006 serving DFW Metroplex families from Turkic origins. Kids come together each Saturday to learn their heritage, language and also have fun. Instuctor at Saturday School teach and entertain in various ways so students can stay focused their subject. This week students went to Advantage Landing Water Park and Family Entertainment Center to have fun. Students enjoyed riding the cart and racing with friends. (April 22, 2011, Dallas, TX)

Cooking Class at Raindrop Turkish House

flyer_5son  The 5th session of Turkish Cooking Classes was held on March 26th, Saturday. It was a great afternoon for all of us with our delicious menu and live demonstration of “Water Marbling” which is one of the oldest traditional Turkish arts. Last Turkish Class for Spring 2011

Graduation  Turkish Class students finished with success. They had a long, hard and also fun semester behind. Students have learned to communicate basics in Turkish, from greeting to people as well as ordering food or asking directions. Basic Turkish will help students to socialize among Turkish people as well as that will be enough if they happen to go to Turkey alone. During classes’ students has also chance to experience Turkish culture by attending cooking classes and henna nights. Students enjoyed taking Turkish classes and will be waiting to see them on the next level. (April 28, 2011, Dallas, TX)
