This is a call for anyone who has a team of seven and interested proving that they are the best team in town. Tournament will start at 9:00 am in the morning and will finish will the final game which will determine the champion. The Chapion Cup will be presented to the winner team at the end of the day. Annual Neighborhood Iftar Dinner

Annual Dallas Raindrop Turkish House Neighborhood Ramadan Iftar Dinner 108

Turquoise Center hosted an Iftar (Breaking Fast) Dinner with neighbors of the facility. Neighbors were very much interested in breaking fast with Turkish community therefore, people started to come earlier than expected. The presentation about Ramadan was very interesting and informative for everyone. City officials both present and past were also available during the dinner and people shared their concerns about the city. Turquoise Center presented a gift to Bob Macey who served the city of Richardson. His present was presented by Scott Dunn who was newly elected one. At the end of the evening every neighbor attended the evening got their special gifts from Turkey in memory of the evening. Everyone enjoyed and confrmed they will come to the next on next Ramadan. Discussion on Technology Trap and Book Signing

The discussion was basicly on human beings are fallable as well as the technology. Especially, nuclear technology or technology of mass destruction took attention of audience. Dr. Dumas also mentioned that there are nuclear waste facilities in Texas about which residents should be aware of. Dr. Dumas got many questions from audience about recent catastrophy in Japan as well as possible ones in near future. Nuclear energy was another topic on which audience very much interested. Raindrop Turkish House summer program for kids

Raindrop Turkish house summer kids program01

Turquoise Center hosted month long Summer School for Turkish kids where kids got a chance to improve their knowledge on Turkish language, history and also tradition. Classes were held from 10 am in the morning till 4 pm afternoon. Turquoise Center hosts this kind of summer schools every summer. During the year kids are having Saturday Schools which they enjoy very much and learn while they are enjoying. Kids have also done extra curricular activities during the School. In the last day of the classes Summer School teachers took all kids to the Dallas Zoo where they enjoyed seeing different animals from all around the world despite Texas hear. Turquoise Center wishes succes to all kids and aslo thank for volunteering instructors who made this school possible.
